HISTORY
Peerless Holdings was incorporated in the early 1950s. The company began its life as a small business, recycling and rendering meat by-products. In 1984, Peerless diversified its operation and established a modern, fully automated refinery with the flexibility to process edible, high-quality oils and fats.

THE PRESENT
Peerless Foods has gone from strength to strength and are now positioned as the largest privately owned manufacturer and marketer of edible oils, fats and margarines in Australia. Through innovation and strategic acquisition, Peerless have catered to the local and international markets with value added products that have benefited our customers with performance, functionality and health attributes.

Peerless Foods has a strong commitment to quality and performance for all our products. All products are subject to the highest level of quality audits from the initial formulation stage through to finished products.
Products are then tested for performance and functionality before being released for general sale.

PRODUCTION
Technology has allowed Peerless Foods to install and integrate the latest machinery and automation in the field of refining, processing and packaging oil based products. From efficiencies in the refinery, to high speed filling machines and robotic case packing Peerless consistently pass internal and external quality audits.

DISTRIBUTION
Peerless Foods operates a fully integrated electronic forecasting, production, ordering and distribution system, allowing a Just In Time (JIT) process to be implemented in many parts of the production and logistical systems.
From telemarketing sales assistants to electronic warehouse, online shipping and transport systems, these internal programs result in faster turnaround lead times from placement of orders to receival of goods by our customers.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Peerless Foods has a state-of-the-art technical centre coupled with highly skilled and resourceful technical personnel. These people include PhD scientists, food technologists and experts in the field of fats and oils.
This technical asset allows Peerless to continually research and develop new and innovative products.
This skill base assists in maintaining safety and hygiene systems to ensure that Peerless continues to produce the highest quality products available.

Peerless Foods is accredited with HACCP, ISO 9001 and CODEX audit confirmation, and has National Heart Foundation, Kosher and Halal approval for many of our products in the local and international markets.
