Tallow

Tallow is fat rendered from animals. Peerless Foods has been rendering and processing bulk tallow at our Braybrook site for over 40 years with long standing partnerships with raw ingredient suppliers, making us one of Australia’s most trusted tallow suppliers. Tallow has a range of uses. It is solid at room temperature and the edible uses include dripping, baking, margarines and frying fats for the food industry. It is perfect for deep frying with a high smoke point of 240 -250°c. Tallow is used also in soap manufacture, stockfeed, pet food and is further processed into oleochemicals such as glycerine and stearic acid.
